Organic barley malt to improve the properties of baked goods, in particular browning and yeast activity. Malting produces sugars that promote browning and yeast activity.
Malt has been used as a baking agent for hundreds of years and was previously often obtained from breweries.
Used in bread roll doughs / wheat doughs with 1-3 % of the flour quantity.
Also known as diastase malt flour in specialist circles.

Our baking malt is a genuine alternative to baking agents, as it contains no other additives such as ascorbic acid or technical enzymes.
