Baking frame made from maple wood

Baking frames are used for Paderborn country bread, among other things.
Our baking frame is made from maple wood.
This does not release any tannins or tree resin into the dough during baking and is also food-safe.
Before using the frame for the first time, you should oil it several times with sunflower oil and allow it to soak in.
After repeated use, the oil will have bonded really well with the frame and the loaves will be particularly easy to remove.

Why bake bread in a wooden baking frame?

A wooden baking frame allows very little heat to reach the sides of the bread, so no crust forms there and the bread is softer.
This is desirable for Paderborn bread, for example.
