Lohmener Zwickele
Lohmener Zwickel is more than just a beer - it is a tribute to the art of brewing and a passion for quality. Produced in the Hofbrauerei Lohmen, a place dedicated to culture, craftsmanship and enjoyment, this beer is a real experience.
Lohmener Zwickel is a top-fermented, natural full-bodied beer with a strong hops note and fruity nuances. With an original gravity of 12.0% and an alcohol content of 4.8%, it offers a balanced taste experience that is best enjoyed at a drinking temperature of 8-10°C.
Hofbrauerei Lohmen, founded by Stefan Oettel, has its roots in the centuries-old tradition of regional beer brewing. Stefan Oettel, who has had an interest in producing his own food since his school days, started brewing again in 2014. In 2017, he set up a professional brewery on a former farm dating back to 1830. Today, the beer is brewed in a 750-liter 3-device brewhouse and filled into kegs and bottles.
The brewery is proud to use only malt and hops from controlled organic cultivation. The hops come from an organic farm in Franconia and the malt from a Demeter farmer in Saxon Switzerland. This commitment to organic farming and sustainable practices is a central part of the philosophy of Hofbrauerei Lohmen.
Lohmener Zwickel is not just a beer, it is a piece of history and craftsmanship that is expressed in every bottle. Enjoy it and become part of this history.
