Coburg lies in historic Celtic country. The Celts were excellent ceramists and worshipped fire. That is why we have named our fireproof cookware after these "original Coburgers".
The Celtic bowl made of glazed CeraFlam® ceramic is made for cooking and roasting on an open fire as well as for baking and gratinating in the oven. It can be used on a charcoal grill, a gas grill, on a fire bowl or on the Denk roasting fire. The Celtic bowl loves it hot and fiery.
Simple and delicious cooking with the Celtic bowl
Place the Celtic bowl directly over the flame. It does not need to be watered beforehand. After a few minutes, the ceramic is hot and the cooking fun can begin.
Thanks to its special glaze, you do not need any fat for frying. This is not only health-conscious, it also allows roasting flavors to develop much more intensively.
The Celtic bowl is tested food-safe. Unlike metal pots, CeraFlam does not allow oxidation to affect the taste. With the Celtic bowl, you can enjoy the pure, unadulterated taste of the ingredients.
Once everything is ready, place the Celtic bowl directly on the table. Your dish will stay hot for a long time (the Celtic bowl stores an enormous amount of heat) and is also very attractive to look at.
Easy to clean
The Celtic bowl can be cleaned in the dishwasher or by hand with a brush and washing-up liquid. For stubborn crusts, simply use bicarbonate of soda / baking powder. Depending on the intensity and duration of use, traces of smoke and frying residues can burn onto the ceramic. These traces of use are part of the Celtic bowl. They are evidence of great cooking experiences. Discoloration or craquelure in the glaze have no influence on the function or taste. They are therefore not grounds for complaint. The Celtic bowl must be dried out thoroughly after cleaning. Residual heat in the oven is ideal for this. Otherwise, it is sufficient to allow the dishes to dry with the unglazed underside facing upwards. After drying, rough salt residues may form on the glaze. These can be wiped off with a damp cloth.
Even though the Celtic bowl is made for hot living, it can of course also be used for serving salads or desserts. It not only retains heat, but also cold. That's why you can use it to keep a cake fresh for longer in summer, for example.
