We prepare our sourdough fresh every day from rye flour and water – just as it has been done for centuries. Since we shape each loaf by hand, we are able to work with softer doughs. This makes our bread lighter, juicier, and keeps it fresh for longer.

When our company was founded in 1991, it was a simple, small bakery. In the meantime, however, we have not only grown, but also specialized. In addition to our high artisanal standards, we also care deeply about our environment. That’s why we work closely with regional farmers (such as the Demeter farm Steinert) to source our raw materials. We exclusively use organic products to offer our customers the best possible goods.
With this approach, we help ensure that our homeland is not poisoned by pesticides or similar substances. At the same time, this conscious farming reduces CO2 emissions. This principle continues in our bakery as well. Here, naturalness reigns. You won’t find any industrial pre-mixes, frozen dough pieces, or packaged goods. This is thanks to our in-house sourdough, which we make fresh every day from rye flour and water. In addition, we shape all our loaves by hand, which allows the doughs to be processed more gently.
