Apple pectin for cooking jam.

Our apple pectin is pure and contains no added dextrose or other sugars.

The dosage of apple pectin depends heavily on the pectin content of the fruit. For example, redcurrants have a lot of pectin, but have very little pectin of their own. In order for the pectin to gel properly, it needs acid. Therefore, always add a little lemon juice.

To avoid clumping, mix the apple pectin 1:1 with sugar. To test whether it has the desired firmness, place a plate in the fridge. Put a dollop of jam on it. Once it has cooled, you can see whether the jam has the desired consistency. If the jam is still too runny, add a little more pectin and boil it again.

Decorative items are not included in the scope of delivery.
